Buying a Home
New Book Guides Readers Through the Process

"How to Find a Home and Get a Mortgage on the Internet," a new book by Randy Johnson, provides homebuyers with a useful guide to buying a house or finding a less expensive mortgage. Johnson says his book is useful in guiding readers to the best real estate Internet sites on the Web and walking them through the process.

To receive maximum exposure, consumers should specify exactly which sites they want their homes listed on. He also emphasizes that buying a home still requires the services of a real estate agent, even if consumers fully utilize the Internet.

Even as the Internet plays a more integral role in the real estate industry, Johnson does not view online companies as serious competition for more traditional businesses. Moreover, he welcomes the Internet into the real estate fold because he prefers working with informed consumers, and the Internet provides them with the necessary information to get them started.
